Darawat Dam Project.....!!!Sindh's First Dam Opens - Irrigation system to be ready by June 2014.......!!!

Spanning across the Nai Baran River, Darawat Dam is located 70 kilometers west of Hyderabad near the village of Jhangri in Sindh. Darawat Dam will irrigate over 202km² of land and bring much needed socioeconomic development in remote regions of Rural Sindh. The Darawat Dam project will help store 149,991,393m³ of water for agriculture as well as mitigate floods and provide employment opportunities for the region by creating 4500 new jobs.
