Google to penetrate directly into cars through Android Auto

According to recent reports, Google has geared up to bring Android Auto directly to the upcoming models of cars which will possess the latest version of Android i.e. Android M. Google has partnered with several automakers to carry this new infotainment for cars. Android Auto is a software which is made exclusively for cars that will allow the people to use the Internet without connecting their smartphones and to access Google Maps, streaming music and much more independently. Android Auto by Google is the counterpart of Apple Inc.’s CarPlay which is a similar kind of platform to use iPhone through the touchscreens integrated into the vehicles but the major difference between the two is that Android Auto does not require to connect smartphone with the car but for CarPlay it is necessary, impeding the popularity of CarPlay. Interestingly, Google has made efforts to make Android Auto a full-featured car system that is suitable for both, iPhone and Android but has not disclosed that when it will be available into the cars and exactly a month ago, Google has allowed developers to build new apps for Android Auto‘s in-car infotainment. Android M operating system in Android Auto will allow the users to gather more informative data regarding GPS location and many other things like shopping and traveling. However, in-car infotainment specifications are something that could raise safety concerns, making automakers a bit reluctant hence Google will face some challenges to convince them to integrate Android Auto into the cars. It seems like there is a battle going on between Google and Apple to introduce and enlarge their arsenal of technology products every now and then.
