Facebook Nearby Friends feature available for iOS & Android

Facebook has introduced new features for its iOS and Android users in the form of Nearby friends which, as the name suggests, will let you know that which of your Facebook friend is in the same area as you are. You don,t have to be worried about your privacy because permission is required for Facebook from you to broadcast your location on other mobile devices that are running iOS and Android versions. It works both way so if you want to know the location of any friend you actually have to let others know about your position as well. It even has option of sorting out the friends that you want to know your location so that you can avoid your weird friends to know your location and then accidently bumping into you. This feature also comes with option of keeping tabs on friends so that you know when they travelling to some place and just in case you have visited same place, like a restaurant, you can always bounce off some tips or guidelines for that place to your friend. Another fun fact of this feature will be its ability to stalk. Admit it, it is always fun to stalk people on Facebook and this feature is just perfect for real time stalking. You just have to be lucky that your potential stalking delight has its Nearby Friends feature enabled. Ufone has already launched a similar service here in Pakistan some time back by the name of Utrack where by sending the number of a Ufone customer on 2002, you would have been able to know their locations. Obviously, permission of the user was also required in that case as well.
