Punjab Govt intends to impose tax on internet services

Punjab Government has decided to impose the sales tax on internet services which might hugely disturb the people who are already indulged in various energy crises.internet services In this regard, a summary will be forwarded to the Chief Minister of Punjab Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif that was prepared during a session held by Department of Finance. It is being speculated that in the next meeting, the summary will be approved by the Minister and the tax shall be applied on the internet services. With more outlandish policies like these, government will come out as an infamous player among the masses. Last month, Hungarian government also planned to place the similar tax on the internet, but mass protests by the public stopped the government to do so. In a country where people are already suffering from the disruptive broadband services provided by the PTCL, internet tax will surely add more fuel to the fire of anger. Internet tax is itself is a complicated thing, and there’s no details if government intends to place the taxes on the emails too. Internet taxes normally takes the form of taxation on Internet service provider (ISP) access charges. ISPs levy these charges on users. What do you guys think?
