Pakistan Mobile App Awards 2015 started

To applaud the envisioned success of 3G and 4G services, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) in partnership with Mobile Operators, Internet Society (ISOC) Asia-Pacific Bureau and Samsung Pakistan has launched the “Pakistan Mobile App Awards 2015”. mobile app The awards are inviting individuals from Pakistan to submit innovative mobile applications in 6 different categories, with an overall objective to promote the use of high speed mobile Internet for the benefit of the society. What Kind of Apps can be Submitted It will be a platform-neutral contest to ensure equal opportunity, regardless of operating system. Applications can be submitted for android, iOS, Blackberry and Windows Phone. All submissions are subject to pre-defined criteria which includes innovation (no re-use or adaptation of already existing applications), ease of use and impact of the application. Which Category of Apps are required The mobile applications of various nature can be submitted in the contest by March 31. Following are the categories that PTA has announced; Agriculture Entertainment Kids Security Community Business Terms and Conditions Competition is open to every Pakistani who is eager to make apps Mobile apps that are already in use or exist in any other form will not be accepted Winners will be able to host their mobile app on the portals of cellular operators and the awards website Shortlisted candidates will be asked for a mandatory live demonstration to the panel Results announced by the final will be considered final Prizes 1st Prize = Rs. 100,000 2nd Prize = 75,000 3rd Prize = 50,000 To further recognize the innovation, winners will be offered an opportunity to host their apps on portals of mobile operators and awards website. A panel of judges will evaluate and decide the top three (3) applications, winners will be announced at a ceremony to be organized in late April.
