PITB working on automatic test-generation software to minimize Paper Leak
PITB is playing a fully functional role by using the immense powers of IT for the education sector of Pakistan as well and the Chairman of the Punjab Information Technology Board, Umar Saif has revealed that they are working on an automatic test-generation software to minimize paper leak which is becoming a common issue nowadays.PITB The automatic test-generation software of PITB will be provided to the Punjab Examination Commission which will be similar to the system being used for SAT, GRE, TOEFL etc. and will be helpful in generating many different arrangements of question papers for an exam automatically and that will bring out in a such a way that no single question paper would be leaked. This software will not only be helpful in making question papers secure but it will also minimize the chances of cheating within the examination centers as well. Additionally, the software will have the ability to check the examinations and mark them on the computer-generated exam sheets which will eventually minimize the grading and tabulation errors. PITB head Umar Saif further said that they are also working on an SMS or USSD-based system through which the evaluation of students can be done by using mobile phones on a large scale. This system is designed for the students of four to eight class and short MCQ’s will be sent to them and their answers will be analyzed immediately.
