About the Job

U Microfinance Bank is looking for experienced and motivated Recovery / Collection Officers for its growing branch network. This position is ideal for professionals with experience in loan recovery, debt collection, microfinance banking, and credit management.

The selected officer will be responsible for recovering overdue loans, managing delinquent accounts, customer follow-ups, and ensuring compliance with State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor assigned loan recovery portfolio and track overdue customers.
Identify delinquent borrowers, investigate default reasons, and implement recovery solutions.
Conduct market surveys for new areas and assist in group formation for microfinance lending.
Work closely with branch managers and credit officers to achieve recovery targets.
Contact customers through field visits and telephone follow-ups to collect overdue payments.
Motivate clients for timely repayment of loans and resolve repayment challenges.
Maintain accurate recovery documentation and update customer data in CBS systems.
Ensure strict compliance with SBP prudential regulations and bank policies.
Safeguard customer confidentiality and maintain high professional integrity.

Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and banking software systems (CBS, MIS).
Strong knowledge of portfolio classification, bucket management, and debt recovery techniques.
Hands-on experience in customer data screening, tracing, and field recovery operations.

Soft Skills:

Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Ability to motivate clients for on-time loan repayments.
Good knowledge of local markets and customer behavior.
Target-oriented and able to perform under pressure.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, or related discipline.
3 to 5 years of professional experience in the banking or financial services sector, preferably in loan recovery or microfinance.
Experience in credit collection, debt recovery, and customer portfolio handling is highly desirable.
