Engro Fertilizers is looking for a highly skilled Manager Field Maintenance to oversee maintenance operations for the Ammonia and Urea Plant. Reporting to the General Manager Maintenance, the role ensures reliable plant performance by leading maintenance teams, resolving technical issues, and implementing safety and maintenance programs (PSM/OHIH/EMS). The position focuses on operational reliability, preventive maintenance, quality control, cost management, spare parts planning, and continuous improvement across the department.
Ensure 100% compliance with Preventive Maintenance (PM) plans and support engineering in reliability surveys.
Contribute to achieving production targets through effective maintenance planning.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date equipment history and maintenance records.
Monitor project schedules, coordinate activities, and resolve operational issues.
Utilize SAP for job scheduling and efficient stock/spares management.
Reduce downtime by minimizing rework and increasing time between failures.
Identify improvement areas in systems/processes and drive enhancement plans.
Manage critical spare parts inventory to ensure availability.
Prepare, plan, and execute turnaround job lists.
Update job cards and review them every 3 years for improvements.
Develop SOPs for routine operations.
Achieve Safety, Quality & Reliability goals through the Plant Reliability Enhancement Program (PREP).
Highlight issues, accomplishments, and improvement ideas during plant reviews.
Promote a strong HSE culture through safety talks, participation, and team motivation.
Ensure compliance with all site safety audits (PSM/OHIH/ESM).
Conduct daily spot checks and weekly housekeeping inspections with supervisors.
Investigate accidents/incidents, perform inspections, and document findings.
Review HSE activities of supervisors and ensure minimum safety standards are met.
Follow up on corrective and preventive actions for reported incidents.
Strong knowledge of international codes, standards, and industrial equipment.
Advanced expertise in maintenance, construction & operation of pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, fans & blowers.
Advanced skills in machinery diagnostics and vibration analysis.
Experience in stationary equipment maintenance.
8–10 years of field experience in Ammonia, Urea, or Utilities Plant operations.
Strong technical understanding of industrial equipment.
Proficient in MS Office and related engineering/maintenance software.
Excellent analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure, manage conflicts, and lead teams effectively.
Strong teamwork, resilience, and multitasking capabilities.
