Unilever is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Area Manager to lead and mentor a team of Territory Managers (TMs). The role focuses on ensuring strong distribution operations, achieving sales KPIs, and driving sustainable business growth within the assigned territory.
Develop strategic plans for volume growth and business expansion in the assigned area.
Monitor daily and weekly business performance.
Improve numeric and weighted distribution of Unilever brands and SKUs.
Achieve monthly Intelligent Quantum and Field Capability Score KPIs.
Ensure strong stock management and meet secondary CCFOT targets.
Maintain high standards in sales execution and distribution quality.
Implement new initiatives and category-specific business plans.
Expand direct coverage across relevant markets.
Meet perfect-store KPIs and visibility targets.
Ensure distributor profitability and proper financial management.
Train, mentor, and develop Territory Managers to enhance field capability.
Allocate resources effectively across the territory.
Optimize the use of IT tools for sales and operations.
Implement customized distribution models based on business needs.
Manage territories and outlets for coverage and performance.
Drive the Joint Business Plan and conduct regular performance reviews.
Share timely feedback on competitor activities.
Ensure best warehousing practices including FIFO at distributor and trade levels.
Ensure full compliance with Unilever audit guidelines.
Conduct weekly sharing of Unilever safety points and ensure safe field activities.
Promote strict adherence to Unilever’s safety policies and operational principles.
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
3–4 years of hands-on sales experience.
Strong strategic thinking with clear communication skills.
Excellent team leadership and people management capabilities.
Effective negotiation skills in challenging environments.
Strong action-oriented mindset with data-driven decision making.
