Electrical & Automation Manager – Kabirwala Factory – Nestlé Pakistan

Nestlé is seeking an experienced Electrical & Automation Manager for its Kabirwala Factory. This leadership role is responsible for managing factory-wide automation and MES systems, ensuring operational excellence, safety compliance, and digital transformation across manufacturing operations. The position plays a key role in supporting Nestlé’s quality, productivity, and sustainability objectives.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Automation and/or MES Manager in an FMCG manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Operations

• Lead and supervise technical teams, contractors, and third-party service providers.

• Oversee commissioning, start-up, and launch of automation systems, production lines, and digital modules.

• Ensure compliance with industrial regulations and Nestlé internal engineering and safety standards.

Automation & System Management

• Provide hands-on expertise in PLC platforms (Rockwell, Wonderware, AVEVA System Platform, ThinManager).

• Manage SCADA architecture, including ACP Thin Client and AVEVA Insight systems.

• Oversee virtualized server infrastructure, industrial networks, firewalls, and FAS systems.

• Ensure safe operations in ATEX environments, including firmware upgrades and safety system enhancements for Spray Dryer Towers.

Calibration & Change Management

• Manage calibration systems using tools such as Procal (Endress+Hauser experience preferred).

• Oversee Automation Change Management Systems built on Office 365 platforms to ensure traceability and compliance.

Operational Excellence & Digital Tools

• Utilize factory tools including RMS, TMS, DMO, Energy Management (JARVIS), Control Tower, and HORIZON Upscaling.

• Drive productivity, energy efficiency, and process optimization, particularly in dairy and powder manufacturing.

Project & People Management

• Lead end-to-end automation projects with strong documentation (Project Charters, Project Management Plans).

• Coach, mentor, and develop engineering teams to build technical capability and innovation.

• Collaborate closely with QA, Production, Maintenance, and IT teams for integrated solutions.

• Manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and aligned project delivery.

Continuous Improvement & Problem Solving

• Analyze automation performance, troubleshoot system issues, and implement improvements.
