The Zonal Sales Manager will be responsible for leading and managing sales operations within the assigned zone, ensuring achievement of sales targets while driving team performance, distributor effectiveness, and market expansion.
Develop and implement zonal sales strategies aligned with National Foods’ overall revenue objectives
Collaborate closely with the Regional Sales Manager to cascade and achieve regional sales targets
Monitor and evaluate the performance of Territory Sales Managers (TSMs) to ensure timely target achievement
Coordinate with Sales Support and Marketing teams to strengthen route-to-market strategies
Track and manage zonal budgets, monitoring actual spend versus approved budgets
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key retail partners
Evaluate distributor performance and conduct regular market visits to strengthen partnerships
Identify growth opportunities and expand presence in underdeveloped markets
Support negotiations with distributors on pricing, commercial terms, and agreements
Work closely with Marketing and QIRD teams to assess performance of existing and new product categories
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching, training, and guidance to TSMs
Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and evolving consumer behavior
Prepare and submit regular sales performance and management reports
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Sound business and commercial acumen
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
Financial planning and forecasting expertise
Negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Strong understanding of products and market dynamics
Education: Bachelor’s degree (Graduate)
Experience: 4–6 years of relevant sales experience, preferably in FMCG
