General Banking Officer – Mobilink Microfinance Bank Ltd.

Mobilink Microfinance Bank is hiring a General Banking Officer (GBO) to support branch-level operations and deliver exceptional customer service. The role involves managing account-related activities, handling customer queries, ensuring operational accuracy, and supporting daily banking functions in compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Branch Operations

• Deliver efficient and high-quality customer service in line with defined service standards.

• Manage account opening, maintenance, dormancy handling, closures, stop payments, and level migrations for Core Banking and JazzCash customers.

• Handle customer complaints professionally within defined turnaround times (TAT).

• Guide walk-in customers and promote relevant banking products and services.

Operational & Administrative Support

• Perform all non-financial transactions accurately as per SOPs.

• Maintain updated records, registers, and branch documentation.

• Support branch administration in coordination with the Branch Manager / CSM.

• Ensure verification and reconciliation of fixed assets and security stationery.

Cash & Teller Operations

• Process cash deposits, withdrawals, and cheque transactions in compliance with SBP and internal policies.

• Ensure daily cash balancing, vault management, and teller reconciliation.

• Handle cash transfers between tellers and vaults following security protocols.

• Identify and report counterfeit currency as per SBP guidelines.

Compliance & Reporting

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for Head Office.

• Maintain suspense accounts, clearing instruments, and cheque book records.

• Perform FT/TT entries and clearing transactions with accuracy.

• Act as custodian of ATM cards, cheque books, keys, and security materials.

Additional Responsibilities

• Assist in gold loan assessments and documentation.

• Manage deceased customer cases and refunds.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the Line Manager.

Eligibility Criteria

• Education: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution (Business, Finance, or related discipline preferred).

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant banking experience.
