The Banking Services Manager (BSM) is responsible for overseeing day-to-day branch operations while ensuring full compliance with bank policies, SOPs, and SBP Prudential Regulations. The role focuses on operational excellence, strong internal controls, staff supervision, customer satisfaction, and risk minimization across all banking functions.
Lead, supervise, and uplift the branch operations team.
Work closely with the Branch Manager to achieve operational and business targets.
Ensure strict compliance with bank policies, procedures, and SBP Prudential Regulations.
Maintain a customer-focused service environment and ensure timely resolution of customer complaints.
Supervise staff performance, ensure adherence to SOPs, punctuality, and dress code.
Ensure effective implementation of dual control and safeguard confidentiality of keys, passwords, and access codes.
Authorize and supervise all financial and non-financial transactions in real time.
Ensure daily balancing of cash book, vault, and system reports.
Monitor cash limits (cash in safe and cash on counter).
Supervise account opening processes and maintain complete operational records.
Ensure proper handling and custody of security items including PDCs, gold, passbooks, ATM combination codes, duplicate keys, and other sensitive assets.
Coordinate and facilitate Internal, External, SBP, and Internal Control audits, ensuring timely compliance.
Review and balance suspense, excess, shortage, and prepaid accounts on a monthly basis.
Prepare and submit MIS reports, confirmations, and operational data as required.
Oversee all banking departments including Deposits, Cash Tellers, Clearing, Remittances, Credits, Recoveries, HR/Admin, JazzCash, and Branchless Banking.
Ensure staff backup for critical positions and nominate staff for training in consultation with Line Manager.
Monitor staff behavior and report any suspicious activity immediately.
Manage HR and administrative matters of branch staff.
Ensure end-of-day processes are completed, vouchers verified, tallied, and properly filed.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Line Manager.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Commerce, or a related field from a reputable institution.
MBA will be preferred (subject to approval).
Minimum 5 years of relevant banking operations experience.
Strong understanding of branch operations, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent leadership, coordination, and customer service skills.
