The Zonal Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales performance across the assigned zone by leading and managing Territory Sales Managers, ensuring achievement of revenue targets, strengthening distribution networks, and executing effective go-to-market strategies.
Develop and execute zonal sales strategies aligned with National Foods’ overall revenue objectives.
Collaborate closely with the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to cascade regional targets to Territory Sales Managers (TSMs).
Monitor, evaluate, and report sales performance to ensure timely achievement of targets.
Partner with Sales Support and Marketing teams to optimize route-to-market strategies.
Track budget utilization and analyze variances between planned and actual spend.
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and key trade partners.
Evaluate distributor performance and conduct regular field visits to strengthen partnerships.
Identify growth opportunities in underdeveloped markets using market intelligence and insights from TSMs.
Support negotiations with distributors regarding pricing, trade terms, and agreements.
Coordinate with Marketing and QIRD teams to assess performance of new and existing product categories.
Conduct regular performance reviews with TSMs and provide coaching, training, and development support.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and evolving consumer behavior.
Prepare and submit comprehensive sales and performance reports to management.
