Technical Officer – Preventive Maintenance – Bestway Cement Limited

Position Purpose

The Technical Officer – Preventive Maintenance will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring preventive maintenance activities for mechanical equipment at the Waste Heat Recovery Power Plant (WHRPP). The role involves trend analysis, condition monitoring, and maintaining accurate maintenance records to ensure reliable plant operations and reduced equipment downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, issue, and monitor preventive maintenance (PM) activities to ensure timely execution.

• Conduct routine inspections of assigned plant areas as per maintenance schedules.

• Record, analyze, and report preventive maintenance activities and observations.

• Verify completion of PM tasks through feedback and ensure corrective actions where required.

• Maintain and update records of pending and shutdown-related PM activities.

• Ensure completion of pending PM tasks during planned shutdowns.

• Collect and analyze temperature and vibration data of critical mechanical equipment.

• Identify equipment abnormalities and report them to the relevant departments for corrective measures.

• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) of equipment breakdowns and recommend preventive solutions.

• Monitor operational performance and report deviations from standard operating conditions.

• Ensure strict compliance with company HSE policies and procedures.

Experience & Qualification

• Qualification: DAE (Mechanical)

• Experience: 05 to 07 years of relevant preventive maintenance experience, preferably in a power plant or cement industry environment.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance and condition monitoring techniques.

• Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and trend monitoring.

• Hands-on experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.

• Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems (SAP preferred).

• Good communication and reporting skills.

• Strong commitment to workplace safety and HSE compliance.
