The Deputy Manager – Employee Relations is responsible for managing and overseeing all employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with labor laws, promoting a positive workplace culture, and maintaining fair and consistent application of company policies. This role acts as a strategic partner to management and employees, supporting organizational effectiveness through proactive conflict resolution and risk management.
Lead and manage complex or high-risk employee relations cases, including harassment, discrimination, misconduct, and employee grievances.
Mediate disputes between employees and management to ensure constructive and timely resolution.
Conduct or oversee investigations in accordance with company policies and applicable legal standards.
Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and follow-up of investigation outcomes.
Interpret and apply labor laws, regulations, and internal HR policies to ensure equitable treatment of employees.
Recommend and implement updates to HR policies and procedures in line with legal or organizational changes.
Provide expert guidance and training to managers on performance management, disciplinary actions, and workplace conduct.
Support line managers in preparing documentation and executing formal disciplinary processes.
Monitor trends and patterns in employee relations issues and provide insights to HR leadership for continuous improvement.
Maintain complete and confidential records of all employee relations activities.
Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies at all times.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferably in HR, Business Administration, or a related field).
Minimum 06 to 08 years of relevant experience in employee relations or human resources.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and conflict-management abilities.
Proven time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Sound knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
