Team Leader Operations – Distribution Centre – Nestlé Pakistan

Function: Supply Chain / Logistics

Job Purpose

The Team Leader Operations – Distribution Centre is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective warehousing operations at the Factory Distribution Centre (DC). The role focuses on managing day-to-day warehouse activities, overseeing 3PL performance, maintaining inventory accuracy, and driving continuous improvement in line with Nestlé operational and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations & Performance

• Manage daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch operations.

• Monitor DC and 3PL performance against defined KPIs related to service levels, cost efficiency, and productivity.

• Ensure high standards of inventory accuracy, correct issuance, and minimal warehouse damages.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with Nestlé safety, quality, and operational standards.

• Maintain proper storage conditions in line with Finished Goods (FG), Raw & Packaging (RP), and QA specifications.

• Promote a strong safety culture to achieve LTIFR targets and successful internal and external audits.

People & 3PL Management

• Lead, coach, and motivate warehouse teams and contract labor to achieve operational excellence.

• Manage third-party logistics (3PL) providers, including contracts, tariffs, service levels, and invoicing.

• Conduct regular performance reviews with 3PL partners and implement corrective and improvement actions.

Continuous Improvement & Cost Optimization

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, DMAIC, and best-practice methodologies.

• Support value stream design and optimization of warehouse processes.

• Control overtime, absenteeism, manpower productivity, and overall resource utilization.

Assets & Infrastructure Management

• Ensure availability and proper maintenance of warehouse infrastructure, material handling equipment (MHE), and security systems.

• Manage warehouse layout and capacity planning in line with changing business requirements.

What Will Make You Successful

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in warehouse management, transportation, or physical logistics operations.

• Proven experience in managing warehouse operations and working with 3PL service providers.

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
