Position Overview

ITA is seeking a motivated and qualified Site Engineer to support infrastructure rehabilitation and construction projects within the education sector. The role focuses on on-site supervision, quality assurance, and effective coordination with contractors and stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant project delivery.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in:

  • Infrastructure rehabilitation or construction supervision

• Experience with education sector, public sector, or emergency response projects will be considered an asset

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments and supervise daily construction activities

• Prepare BOQs, technical reports, and progress documentation

• Ensure contractor compliance with quality, safety, and technical standards

• Monitor project timelines, material usage, and workmanship quality

• Coordinate with school communities, local authorities, and project stakeholders

• Promote inclusive, gender-responsive, and disaster-resilient infrastructure practices

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong technical understanding of civil engineering and construction practices

• Proven experience in site supervision, BOQ preparation, and reporting

• Effective contractor management and quality assurance skills

• Strong communication and coordination abilities

• Prior experience with school infrastructure projects is a plus
