Job Purpose

The Territory Sales Manager – Modern Trade will be responsible for achieving Modern Trade sales targets across assigned distributors and Large Modern Trade (LMT) accounts, while ensuring full alignment with the overall Modern Trade Sales strategy.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the Key Account Manager (KAM) and Sales Support teams to support and execute the route-to-market strategy.

  • Set sales targets for key accounts within the assigned region and regularly engage with customers to monitor and report performance.

  • Identify sales or product-related issues in collaboration with customers and provide timely feedback to internal stakeholders.

  • Act as the primary contact for key customers, handling issue resolution, payment collection, and coordination with logistics to ensure timely deliveries.

  • Conduct regular store visits to monitor stock availability and check product expiry to maintain quality standards in the market.

  • Build and strengthen long-term business relationships with key Modern Trade customers.

  • Identify growth opportunities and expand National Foods’ presence in underserved Modern Trade markets using market intelligence and insights.

  • Share structured feedback with the KAM, QIRD, and Marketing teams regarding product performance and market issues.

  • Monitor regional trade spend, track variances against budgets, and ensure effective utilization of resources.

  • Participate in periodic performance reviews with the KAM, highlighting risks and opportunities against sales targets.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activity, and changing consumer preferences.

  • Prepare and submit regular sales and performance reports for management review.


Requirements

Education: Graduate
Experience: 2–4 years of relevant sales experience (Modern Trade preferred)
