Assistant Manager – SAP SD – National Foods Limited

About the Role:
We are looking for an Assistant Manager – SAP SD to support the design, configuration, testing, and smooth operation of the SAP S/4HANA Sales & Distribution (SD) module. This role ensures seamless execution of our end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes, collaborating closely with Commercial, Finance, Logistics, and Production teams. Reporting to the Manager SAP – SCM, you will provide first-line functional support, maintain compliance with governance standards, and drive continuous improvement in our digital sales and distribution processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Configuration & Support

• Configure and maintain SAP SD processes: sales orders, quotations, deliveries, shipping, billing, and returns.

• Manage pricing procedures, including condition types, access sequences, discounts, rebates, and promotions.

• Ensure accurate billing integration with Finance for receivables and revenue recognition.

• Troubleshoot and resolve SD-related issues; escalate complex cases as needed.

• Maintain master data integrity for customers, materials, and pricing in line with organizational standards.

Project & Enhancement Delivery

• Participate in SAP projects: rollouts, upgrades, and SD enhancements.

• Translate business requirements into system configurations and support integration with MM, PP, and FI modules.

• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and UAT for SD changes.

• Prepare functional specifications for custom developments alongside technical teams (ABAP, BTP).

Operational Excellence & Governance

• Document system configurations, process flows, and end-user guides.

• Support audit requirements, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.

• Promote standardization and process reusability within the SAP CoE framework.

User Training & Support

• Deliver end-user training and prepare training materials.

• Provide first-line support to sales and logistics teams, especially during critical periods like month-end and year-end closings.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Identify opportunities to streamline O2C processes and improve system efficiency.

• Stay up-to-date with S/4HANA SD innovations, embedded analytics, and digital commerce integrations.

• Recommend new SAP capabilities, including Fiori apps, real-time reporting, and API-driven order management.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Information Systems (Master’s preferred).

• 3–5 years of hands-on SAP SD experience, with 1–2 years in S/4HANA preferred.

• Strong experience in configuration, testing, and user support for SD modules.

• Exposure to integrations with MM, PP, FI, and external systems such as CRM, e-commerce, and logistics platforms.
