As an Area Sales Manager, you will oversee indirect on-ground sales within your assigned territory through the franchise channel, converting market opportunities into measurable business growth. You will play a key role in driving sales, managing franchises, and expanding market presence.
Sales & Business Growth:
Achieve monthly and annual targets via effective franchise management.
Drive revenue through primary & secondary recharge, financial services, devices, and internet offerings.
Improve market share and business growth within your territory.
Execute strategic projects aligned with organizational objectives.
Ensure adherence to Telenor Way for Work and Telenor Values across the franchise channel.
Franchise & Retail Management:
Monitor and communicate targets, reporting progress effectively.
Conduct regular market visits to gather insights and competitor information.
Plan routes and set targets for RSOs.
Motivate and train franchise and retail staff on products, processes, and customer service.
Ensure compliance with PTA regulations and company SOPs.
Distribution & Channel Management:
Expand retail footprint to increase availability of products and services.
Monitor channel investment and sales quality across verticals.
Improve retailer performance and minimum balance compliance.
Projects & Initiatives:
Support line manager in projects aimed at improving sales and distribution performance.
This role provides opportunities to advance in:
S&D Operations & Planning – focused on planning and strategy
Trade Marketing – regional execution or nationwide planning
Direct/Corporate Selling – Business Solutions department
Education:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree (any field), preferably business-related
Experience:
Sales or distribution experience in organizations with a significant distribution network
Team leadership experience is preferred
Skills & Competencies:
Strong team management and interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication in English
Analytical thinking and business acumen
Proactive, customer-focused, and results-oriented
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Knowledge of corporate culture and values
