Function: Sales
We are seeking a results-driven Technical Sales Officer to manage and grow sales performance within the assigned territory. The role focuses on demand generation, channel development, team management, and strong engagement with growers, channel partners, and key stakeholders to achieve sustainable business growth.
Deliver assigned sales budgets with effective monthly phasing.
Maintain month-on-month forecast accuracy above 80%.
Drive demand generation activities including Field Meetings (FM), Field Demonstrations (FD), and Product Demos, ensuring effective inventory liquidation.
Execute territory-level demand generation initiatives to support revenue growth.
Lead, train, and coach Field Officers through action planning, on-the-job guidance, and regular follow-ups.
Manage sales channels, set targets, conduct monthly business review meetings, motivate partners, and onboard new channels in vacant BSAs.
Monitor and report on market trends, competitive activities, and regional insights.
Develop New Product Introductions (NPI) through strong demonstrations and effective showcasing to growers, channel partners, and arhties (middlemen).
Execute sales campaigns and company sales policies efficiently.
Allocate resources within the territory, including field officer placement and channel establishment.
Drive geographical expansion through proactive field activities and channel development.
Manage stakeholder relationships including EIs, arhties, sub-dealers, and value-chain partners.
Track and monitor channel inventory, liquidation, and POG (Planogram) compliance.
Address and resolve customer complaints promptly within the assigned area.
Build and maintain strong relationships with regional influencers such as lead growers, market yard vendors, value-chain partners, and government/institutional officials.
Ensure timely order placement and collections to achieve targeted Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) levels.
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture (preferably Plant Breeding or Horticulture).
3–4 years of relevant sales or field experience.
MBA (Agri) will be considered an added advantage.
