Deputy Director (Artificial Intelligence) – Contractual – National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA)

Position Overview

A reputed public sector organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Director (Artificial Intelligence) to lead advanced data science and AI initiatives. The role requires strong expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and large-scale data analytics, along with the ability to translate complex technical insights into actionable business solutions.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (4 Years) in:

  • Computer Science

  • Artificial Intelligence

  • Data Science

  • Software Engineering

  • or equivalent relevant discipline

• Master’s Degree in a related field will be preferred

• Minimum 16 years of HEC-verified education is mandatory

• All degrees must be attested by HEC

Professional Experience

• 7–10 years of proven experience as a Senior Data Scientist or in a similar advanced analytical role

• IBM Deep Learning Certification will be considered an added advantage

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize machine learning, predictive, forecasting, and optimization models using large and complex datasets

• Build analytical models and decision-support tools using advanced techniques in:

  • Machine Learning

  • Statistical Modeling

  • Probability & Decision Theory

• Enhance existing analytical methodologies by:

  • Developing new data sources

  • Testing model improvements

  • Fine-tuning model parameters

• Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, insights, and business intelligence

• Translate complex analytical findings into clear recommendations for management and stakeholders

• Collaborate with engineering and business teams to implement AI-driven solutions

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong command of data querying and programming languages:

  • SQL, Oracle

  • Python, R

• Hands-on experience with statistical and analytical tools:

  • R, SAS, Stata, MATLAB (or equivalent)

• Extensive experience with:

  • Supervised Learning: Linear & Logistic Regression, Time-Series Models, GLMs, Decision Trees, Random Forests, SVMs

  • Unsupervised Learning: K-Means, Hierarchical Clustering, PCA, Association Rules

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to understand business context behind data

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proven ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences

• Appointment will be made on a contract basis with an initial 6-month probation period (extendable if required)
