Mobilink Microfinance Bank Ltd. (MMBL) is seeking a General Banking Officer to ensure smooth branch operations while delivering high-quality customer service. The role involves handling account services, non-financial transactions, cash operations, administrative support, and compliance with internal policies and SBP regulations.
Customer Service & Branch Operations
Provide efficient customer service in line with defined service quality standards.
Handle customer queries, complaints, and provide solutions within defined TAT.
Guide walk-in customers and cross-sell bank products and services.
Refer customers to relevant banking services and representatives.
Account & Non-Financial Operations
Handle account opening and related processes including dormancy marking/removal, stop payment marking/revoking, account closures, SOA issuance, loan account opening/closing, deceased account marking/removal, and level migration for Core and JazzCash customers.
Prepare deceased customer refund cases and maintain proper records.
Perform all non-financial transactions accurately as per SOPs.
Scan and upload SS cards on a daily basis.
Prepare operational and service-related reports for submission to CSM and Head Office.
Cash & Teller Operations (Backup Role)
Act as backup teller when required.
Process cash deposits and withdrawals in compliance with Ops Manual and SBP regulations.
Ensure cash sorting accuracy as per SBP Clean Notes Policy.
Identify and report counterfeit currency notes.
Process cheque deposits and outward clearing instruments.
Ensure daily cash balancing (physical cash vs. T24 system).
Maintain teller cash records, SBP sheets, vault position, average sheets, and other cash-related reports.
Ensure cash transfer between till and vault at start and end of the day.
Perform FT, TT, and clearing entries with accuracy.
Inventory, Compliance & Administration
Verify fixed assets through annual physical checks and reconcile fixed assets registers.
Act as custodian (along with another officer) of security stationery, keys, and stamps.
Manage issuance and destruction of cheque books, banker’s cheques, and TDRs along with proper balancing.
Maintain custody and delivery of cheque books and ATM cards as per SOP.
Review and reconcile sundry and suspense accounts regularly.
Maintain all registers and records accurately and up to date.
Provide administrative support to the branch in coordination with CSM/BM.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Line Manager.
Education: Bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution (relevant field)
Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant banking experience
