As an International Traffic - Risk Analyst, you will play a critical role in safeguarding Telenor’s revenues by monitoring, detecting, and preventing international grey traffic and voice fraud. You will focus on traffic analysis, fraud detection, and mitigating emerging risks to ensure operational integrity and revenue protection.
Monitor incoming international voice traffic to identify grey routes, bypass fraud, and abnormal calling patterns.
Detect and investigate fraud cases, generating timely alerts and reports to prevent revenue leakage.
Analyze traffic trends to identify high-risk routes, operators, seasonal patterns, and emerging fraud risks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to implement fraud prevention measures.
Support deployment, tuning, and performance tracking of Fraud Management Systems (FMS) and analytics tools.
Refine fraud detection rules, thresholds, and monitoring logic based on observed trends.
Stay updated on global telecom fraud trends, including SIM-box fraud, OTT/VoIP bypass, CLI manipulation, and AI-driven threats.
Prepare clear dashboards and reports highlighting fraud cases and emerging risks for management review.
Successful candidates may progress to roles such as Assistant Manager, International Traffic Business.
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Telecom, Computer Science, IT, Business & Data Analytics, or related fields.
Experience:
1–2 years of relevant experience preferred; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Skills & Knowledge Areas:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in MS Excel, SQL, and data analytics tools.
Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Basic understanding of international voice traffic and telecom fraud typologies.
Excellent communication, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn.
