Civil Design Engineer – Roads & Pavements – Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Multan

Job Purpose

We are seeking a Civil Design Engineer (Roads & Pavements) with strong technical expertise in road infrastructure design. The role focuses on developing detailed engineering designs, drawings, and technical calculations for road networks and pavement systems in compliance with applicable standards, codes, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed engineering designs for roads, pavements, junctions, and associated infrastructure.

• Develop geometric designs including horizontal and vertical alignments in accordance with approved engineering standards and codes.

• Design flexible and rigid pavement structures considering traffic loads, soil conditions, and project specifications.

• Prepare and review design drawings, technical reports, BOQs, and specifications.

• Coordinate with utilities, planning, and execution teams to ensure design compatibility and constructability.

• Review design submissions from consultants and provide technical evaluations, comments, and recommendations.

• Support project execution by resolving design-related issues during construction and site implementation.

• Monitor design revisions and ensure accurate documentation, version control, and record management.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an HEC-recognized institution.

• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in roads and pavements design.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong command of design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MX Roads, and related tools.

• Sound knowledge of local and international design codes and standards (e.g., NHA, AASHTO).

• Excellent analytical, coordination, and technical documentation skills.

• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and consultants.
