The Assistant Manager – Power & Infrastructure will be responsible for managing regional operational activities related to access network power infrastructure, including project execution, vendor coordination, reporting, and performance analysis to ensure optimal network availability and compliance with quality standards.
Lead the implementation and rollout of access power infrastructure projects, including:
Power expansion of existing sites
Solar power systems
Diesel generators
Civil works
Access network power upgrades and special projects
Ensure smooth and timely power upgrades for access networks (2G, 3G, 4G) to enhance network availability and reliability.
Coordinate with Network Planning (NP) teams and internal stakeholders for:
Project design
Scope of Work (SOW)
Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
Project kick-off and execution
Develop Project Implementation Plans (PIP) and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) in line with contractual timelines and KPIs.
Closely follow up with vendors to ensure adherence to project plans, timelines, and quality benchmarks.
Facilitate project completion by:
Issuing completion and acceptance certificates
Supporting timely payment processing
Ensuring proper capitalization of awarded projects
Monitor, track, and report progress of all ongoing power and infrastructure projects within the Network Division.
Conduct random on-site audits to ensure compliance with approved SOWs and quality standards.
Address contingencies related to scope or design changes during the implementation phase.
Maintain and share regular project dashboards, trackers, and capitalization status updates with stakeholders.
Conduct periodic coordination meetings with vendors and internal teams to align strategies, resolve challenges, and ensure smooth execution.
Document project learnings, challenges, and mitigation strategies at project closure, and share recommendations for continuous improvement.
Plan and manage quarterly and annual financial targets, ensuring achievement of assigned CTR and management targets.
Review, process, and approve invoices related to power and infrastructure projects.
Provide technical evaluation and support during vendor bidding and selection processes.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation and support internal or external audits (IA/CMCC) when required.
Minimum Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering
Preferably up to 4 years of experience in execution of power-related projects at cell sites or telecom infrastructure projects.
