What is a General Banking Officer?
A General Banking Officer at Mobilink Microfinance Bank Ltd. (MMBL) ensures smooth branch operations and delivers exceptional customer service. This role involves managing account openings, handling customer queries, processing non-financial transactions, assisting with administrative tasks, and maintaining compliance with banking regulations. The officer also oversees branch inventory, security stationery, and supports overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide prompt and efficient service to all branch customers, adhering to service and quality standards.

• Operate across all branch operations at the inputter/maker level, including:

  • Account opening and related processes (dormancy marking/removal, stop payments, account closures, SOA issuance, loan account opening/closing, deceased marking/removal, level migration) for Core and JazzCash customers.

  • Participate in Gold Loan assessments.

• Manage deceased customer refunds and maintain proper records.

• Monitor branch service indicators and take corrective actions to achieve targets.

• Execute non-financial transactions accurately according to SOPs.

• Guide walk-in customers, cross-sell bank products, and prepare reports for submission to CSM and Head Office.

• Conduct annual verification of fixed assets and reconcile registers.

• Maintain security stationery and branch administrative support in coordination with CSM/BM.

• Handle customer complaints efficiently and provide solutions within the TAT.

• Maintain registers and records, reconcile sundry and suspense accounts, scan and upload SS cards daily, process clearing instruments, issue/destroy chequebooks, TDRs, and manage ATM card custody.

• Support Teller operations, ensure accurate cash sorting and deposits/withdrawals, identify counterfeit notes, process cheque deposits, and manage cash exchanges.

• Perform cash transfers between till and vaults, handle FT/TT/clearing entries, and maintain cash balancing reports.

• Manage allocated keys and stamps securely and perform any additional tasks assigned by the Line Manager.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution in a relevant field.

• Minimum 2 years of relevant banking experience.
