Executive IT & IS Audit – Mobilink Microfinance Bank Ltd.

The Executive IT & IS Audit role is responsible for independently evaluating the effectiveness of IT governance, risk management, and internal controls across MMBL. This position plays a key role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and international audit standards while supporting the organization’s commitment to strong internal controls and financial inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

• Support risk assessments and assist the Head of IT & IS Audit in developing the annual audit plan, addressing emerging risks and global audit themes

• Conduct IT & IS audits covering systems, applications, and processes, including:

  • Pre- and post-implementation reviews

  • Cybersecurity assessments

  • IT landscape and baseline reviews

  • Business application audits

• Develop detailed audit programs to ensure audit objectives and key risk areas are adequately addressed

• Recommend improvements to internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with:

  • MMBL policies and procedures

  • State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) laws and regulations

• Prepare high-quality audit working papers that clearly document procedures performed and observations identified

• Draft audit observations and reports with minimal revisions required, submitting them to the Head of IT & IS Audit for review

• Execute audit assignments independently with minimal supervision and ensure timely completion as per the approved audit plan

• Conduct follow-ups on audit observations and evaluate management’s corrective actions

• Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders

• Perform regulatory validations and special assignments as required by SBP

• Carry out additional internal audit responsibilities as assigned by the Head of IT & IS Audit

Eligibility & Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferred) in:

  • Computer Science

  • Information Technology

  • Cybersecurity

  • Or equivalent discipline

Experience

• Minimum 4–5 years of relevant experience in:

  • Internal Audit

  • Information Technology

  • Information Security

Certifications (Preferred)

• CISA

• CISSP

• CISM

• ISMS Lead Auditor

• Or equivalent international certifications

Required Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge and practical experience with industry frameworks and standards, including:

  • ITIL

  • COBIT

  • NIST

  • PCI-DSS / SSF

  • ISO standards

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Strong report writing and documentation skills

• Energetic, adaptable, and proactive mindset
