As an Area Sales Manager, you will lead on-ground indirect sales activities through our franchise network, identifying market opportunities and converting them into tangible sales results. Your efforts will directly impact Telenor’s market share and business growth in your assigned territory.
Sales & Franchise Management
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets through effective franchise management. Key KPIs include:
Gross Adds – First Call Activation (FCA)
Revenue – Primary & Secondary Recharge
Financial Services, Devices, and Internet product offerings
Location-based Business Segment KPIs
Drive business growth and enhance market share in the assigned territory.
Execute strategic projects aligned with organizational objectives.
Manage franchise servicing and retail enablement, including onboarding new partners.
Promote Telenor Way of Work and company values within the franchise channel.
Daily Operations & Market Engagement
Communicate targets clearly and monitor/report progress.
Conduct regular market visits to gather insights and track competitors.
Plan routes, set targets for RSOs, and monitor profitability at franchises.
Motivate, train, and enable franchise and retail staff on products and processes.
Ensure compliance with PTA regulations and company SOPs.
Distribution Management
Improve retail trends, servicing, and minimum balance retailer performance.
Expand retail footprint to enhance product and service availability.
Monitor channel investments and ensure high-quality sales across all verticals.
Projects & Initiatives
Undertake projects assigned by your line manager aimed at improving Sales & Distribution results.
Beyond growth in the indirect sales channel, this role offers potential opportunities in:
S&D Operations & Planning – Focusing on sales planning and operations.
Trade Marketing – Regional execution or nationwide marketing planning.
Business Solutions – Direct or corporate sales within Telenor’s business segment.
Education & Experience
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in any field, preferably business-related.
Experience in sales or distribution roles with a sizeable network; team leadership experience preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Strong team management and analytical skills.
Excellent English communication (verbal & written).
Proactive, customer-centric, and able to work under pressure.
Ability to solve complex problems and make strategic recommendations.
Organized, flexible, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
