Associate – Communications & Advocacy – Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA)

Job Description

Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA) is seeking a proactive Associate – Communications & Advocacy to support planning, implementation, and day-to-day execution of communication, media, and advocacy activities. The role will contribute to content development, digital communications, documenting program impact, and coordination with internal teams to enhance organizational visibility and engagement.


Key Responsibilities

1. Communication & Content Support

  • Draft, edit, and format communication materials including press releases, newsletters, blogs, reports, and social media content.

  • Document success stories, case studies, field updates, and impact narratives from programs and partners.

  • Ensure all content aligns with organizational messaging, tone, and branding guidelines.

2. Digital & Social Media

  • Assist in managing social media platforms by scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and responding to basic inquiries.

  • Develop engaging digital content for campaigns, events, and advocacy initiatives.

  • Track social media metrics and prepare summaries for reporting.

3. Media & Advocacy Support

  • Support media outreach, maintain media contact lists, and track coverage.

  • Prepare briefing notes, talking points, and advocacy materials.

  • Coordinate advocacy campaigns, events, and media engagements.

4. Website & Knowledge Management

  • Update website content, ensuring accuracy and relevance.

  • Organize communication assets, including photos, videos, stories, and publications.

5. Coordination & Administration

  • Collaborate with program and operations teams to gather content, updates, and visuals.

  • Support planning and logistics for communication-related activities and events.

  • Perform other communication-related tasks as assigned by the Manager.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media Studies, Journalism, Development Studies, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in communications, media, or advocacy, ideally in the development or non-profit sector.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Urdu.

  • Basic experience with social media platforms and digital content tools.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
