What is a Relationship Manager – Asset at MMBL?
At Mobilink Microfinance Bank, a Relationship Manager – Asset plays a pivotal role in driving asset growth through responsible lending and long-term customer relationships. This role blends financial expertise with a customer-centric approach, focusing on understanding clients’ financial needs and delivering tailored credit solutions aligned with their long-term goals.
The position requires strong sales leadership, portfolio management, ethical lending practices, and strict compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
Implement approved sales and service plans to achieve branch and bank growth targets.
Achieve assigned asset sales targets through ethical and SOP-compliant practices.
Identify new business opportunities through market assessment and industry analysis.
Develop and execute branch-level sales and marketing strategies.
Promote bank products and cross-sell asset solutions to existing and new customers.
Build, manage, and sustain long-term relationships with customers.
Clearly communicate product features, terms, and conditions to clients.
Ensure customer satisfaction by meeting internal service standards and fair treatment policies.
Conduct monthly and quarterly customer meetings as per product programs.
Evaluate customer profiles using the Five Cs of Credit.
Conduct physical verification of prospective clients to ensure authenticity.
Ensure genuine lending by avoiding family loaning, activist-based lending, and adjustment lending.
Manage and monitor the asset portfolio to ensure timely repayments and portfolio quality.
Ensure 100% recovery by proactive follow-ups and adherence to collection SOPs.
Ensure strict compliance with MMBL policies, SOPs, and SBP regulations.
Handle customer legal documents with extra care to avoid misuse.
Guide customers to deposit loan repayments only at designated cash counters.
Avoid cash handling; ensure field collections follow the collection manual.
Report any suspected fraud or potential losses to Line Manager or HOD immediately.
Act as Line Manager for Relationship Officers – Asset Sales.
Train, coach, motivate, and monitor the sales team to achieve KPIs and targets.
Conduct capacity planning to meet loan volume objectives with zero default.
Coordinate with Operations to ensure timely loan disbursement and compliance.
Organize resources to maximize team productivity and business outcomes.
Education: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution (MBA preferred).
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in the microfinance industry.
Skills:
Strong persuasion and negotiation skills
Sound understanding of credit assessment and portfolio management
Leadership and team management capabilities
Knowledge of SBP regulations and banking SOPs
