Team Leader Operations – Distribution Centre – Nestlé Pakistan

Function: Supply Chain

Job Purpose

The Team Leader Operations – Distribution Centre is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective warehouse operations at the Factory Distribution Centre (DC). This role oversees day-to-day DC activities, manages 3PL performance, ensures inventory accuracy, and drives continuous improvement initiatives in line with Nestlé standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations & Performance

• Manage daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch operations.

• Monitor and improve Distribution Centre and 3PL performance using defined KPIs related to service, cost, and productivity.

• Ensure high levels of inventory accuracy, correct issuance, and effective control of warehouse losses and damages.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with Nestlé safety, quality, and operational standards.

• Maintain storage and handling conditions in line with Finished Goods (FG), Raw & Packaging (RP), and QA requirements.

• Promote a strong safety culture to achieve LTIFR targets and successful internal and external audits.

People & 3PL Management

• Lead, engage, and motivate warehouse teams and labor workforce.

• Manage 3PL partners including performance monitoring, contracts, tariffs, and invoice verification.

• Conduct regular performance reviews and implement corrective and improvement action plans.

Continuous Improvement & Cost Optimization

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, DMAIC, and operational excellence methodologies.

• Support Value Stream Design and warehouse process optimization projects.

• Control overtime, absenteeism, productivity levels, and overall resource utilization.

Assets & Infrastructure Management

• Ensure availability and maintenance of warehouse infrastructure, material handling equipment (MHE), and security systems.

• Manage warehouse capacity planning and layout optimization according to business and volume requirements.

What Will Make You Successful

Experience & Education

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Warehouse Management, Transportation, or Physical Logistics Operations.

• Hands-on experience managing warehouse operations and third-party logistics (3PL) service providers.

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
