Area Manager Collections – SAM – Mobilink Microfinance Bank Ltd.

The Area Manager Collections – Specialized Asset Management (SAM) at Mobilink Microfinance Bank Ltd. (MMBL) leads recovery operations for defaulted, specialized, and charged-off portfolios within the assigned area. You will ensure disciplined field execution, portfolio continuity, regulatory compliance, and achievement of recovery targets in line with SAM strategies and governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute recovery strategies for 90+ DPD, management-declared default, and charge-off portfolios.

• Drive settlements, regularization, or resolution to maintain portfolio health.

• Monitor recovery progress and prevent stagnation.

• Escalate complex cases to asset-backed recovery or litigation when required.

• Supervise Team Leads and FCDOs in the assigned area:

  • Ensure proper customer coverage and timely field visits

  • Accurately record visits, calls, and PTPs

• Conduct field reviews to validate recovery quality.

• Enforce zero tolerance for:

  • Cash collection in the field

  • Harassment or unethical practices

  • Unauthorized commitments

• Ensure correct allocation and tagging of default accounts.

• Manage staff movement: re-tag accounts and allocate cases promptly to avoid recovery lapses.

• Strictly adhere to SAM SOPs, Fair Debt Collection Guidelines, SBP, and internal regulations.

• Act as first control checkpoint for field recovery compliance and escalate breaches promptly.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.

• 5–7 years’ experience in collections, recovery, or NPL/default portfolio management.

• Proven field team leadership experience is mandatory.
