Dozens Pakistani government’s websites hacked by Anonymous Hackers
ozens of websites belonging to government of Pakistan were hacked in less than 24 hours. The hackers, “Anonymous Operation Pakistan” (Anonymous) started these cyber-attacks in response to brutal attacks of Islamabad and Punjab Police on peaceful marchers of PTI and PAT in Islamabad. The group that confirms the death of 20 people and injuries to more than 1500 people as a result of on-going clashes between government and protestors in the capital city has further revealed the purpose of these attacks as to support the protestors on the roads of Islamabad who are fighting for a better Pakistan. The press release on the official website of Anonymous says, “We are cataloging the atrocities being committed in Pakistan. We will begin at once assisting the peaceful protesters in Pakistan with every tool and tactic at our disposal. And we will initiate the process of removing every vestige of the Pakistan government from the Internet and shutting down their communications network. And the Pakistani people will then remove this criminal regime from power and lock them in prison where they belong. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif you are hereby dismissed. You will leave power immediately. For the safety and security of your family we suggest that you depart Pakistan at once. This is your only warning”. he official website of government of Pakistan (www.pakistan.gov.pk) were found to be not working and so were few major websites including ministry of IT and Telecom, FBR, FDE and more. The group further says; We Are Anonymous – We Are Everywhere – We Are Legion – We Do Not Forgive – We Do Not Forget… “As for the criminal security and military forces who have so barbarically attacked your own people in Pakistan, we will collect evidence of your crimes and deal with you in the time and manner of our choosing. You would do well to….well, you know – expect us. You will either answer to the justice of your people and the international community, or you will be the subject of the rage filled vengeance of Anonymous.” “Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, it is to late to Expect Us” Few hours ago, Anonymous hacked into the database of Federal Public Service Commission and made public the login information of its users. The user data of major banks has also been released on the internet on the same grounds. Before getting active, the group had tweeted as; Piece by Piece we are removing the Pakistan Government from internet & leaking their data and that’s just the warm up The group has also apologized to the public of Pakistan as; We’ld like to apologize to the Pakistani people for removing all your gov websites from the Internet, we’re just re-booting your government
