Facebook plans to launch a professional network, Facebook at Work

Before today, Facebook was only known for its social domain but now the social media giant is leaping to make a professional realm soon and is building an at-work version of Facebook named as ,Facebook at Work, that will enable people to use it in a professional way, unlike the way we use it in offices today . The company,s professional domain will be similar to the functionality of its current site, carrying newsfeed, groups and messaging facility. Moreover, it will also contain additional tools for shared documents. ,Facebook at Work, is said to be entirely separate from personal accounts and the professional page will not display any information from a user,s social profile and similarly the social profile will not display the documents of workplace. Facebook,s professional version is presently in a trial mode and until now, it does not include advertising. It is said that Facebook employees are already using the site ,Facebook at Work,internally. This new step by the company will bring about a new tide of competition with Google, Microsoft and IBM, which all offer enterprise tools and also the professional networking sites like LinkedIn. According to a Facebook source, “We are making work more fun and efficient by building an at-work version of Facebook and we will touch code throughout the stack and on all platforms (web, iOS, Android, etc.).” However, a spokesperson for Facebook says the company doesn,t comment on rumor or speculation and has “nothing to add at this point.” So now fasten your seat belts to welcome and utilize the new version of Facebook which is said to be approaching in next few months.
