FireChat: An app that allows texting without internet or mobile services

You might have heard of the various social networking apps, but a new one may leave you surprised as you can communicate to the people around you without using the services of cellular mobile operators or the internet connection. Isn’t it interesting? Well, a new smartphone application FireChat has been introduced to Google Play store as well as iTunes recently which allows the people to chat with the ones within 200 feet of the surrounding. It uses the Bluetooth connection of the smartphone to spread the messages and makes its own network without the need of mobile phone services or internet connection. Firechat Though you might be in a stadium, concert, travelling or any other public area where you do not find the cellular signals or internet, FireChat can be used to communicate by means of text message or photos with the people around you. In case your smartphone has access to the internet facility, FireChat can be connected that way too to send or receive messages. However, the condition to use this app is that both the communicators must have this app installed on their smartphones. It is important to note that, FireChat provides a public chatroom for communication, therefore other people will be able to read your messages, username and full name just like the tweets of Twitter. FireChat also allows the users to create their own public chat groups for anyone to join about anything that interests you.
