Govt appears to be on its way out: Shujaat

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has said the situation today is totally different because earlier Nawaz Sharif had clashed with army chiefs and not with the army as an institution. Talking to newsmen here on Sunday, he said “previously, Nawaz Sharif clashed with the army chiefs like Gen Abdul Waheed Kakar, Gen Jahangir Karamat, Gen Asif Nawaz Janjua and Gen Pervez Musharraf, but now he has clashed with the institution of army and the situation, therefore, is quite different this time”. In his opinion, the PML-N government appeared to be on its way out. Replying to a question about mid-term elections, he said rigging in elections needed to be exposed first. About the rallies the PML-Q is holding to demonstrate solidarity with the armed forces, he said talking against the army meant defaming the country and his party had come forward to defend the forces.
