Google products should work on iOS and Windows Phone too
Google I/O concluded in style and various products and future plans announced from the Google during the event. Sundar Pichai, Senior Vice President Google and the man in charge of Android, Chrome and Google Apps, expressed his views at the end of the event in an interview to Wired about open approach between different platforms, unification of the services and products. He stated that Google’s aim was to provide all the Android services to every possible platform. He revealed that Google wants the connectivity in an open manner and not just like limited to only Android devices. Though customers use different brands and different eco systems, but it is not entirely impossible to not to build an expandable bridge between them. For example he said that Google wants the Android users devices compatible with other platforms like iOS and Windows. He persuaded that the isolated approach should be eliminated and not only from the developers end but consumers must also have an opportunity to explore different dimensions of multiple platforms. For example the focus is to provide all the Google and Android services to iPad users to enjoy customized experience. With introduction of Android Auto, Android Wear and Android TV, Google wants to make life easier than ever before. With ever evolving computing trends, Google is determined to make use all of those services anywhere in the world, not just in your home, like old computing trends, he added. These devices will work together to unify all Google experience in a single package. Pichai told the Wired that the reason of this event being overstuffed with the software was because Google this time intended to facilitate the developers, after all the event was specifically designed for the developers. As far as hardware products are concerned, Nexus products will be launched shortly by the company. He also vowed to build even more strong partnership with Samsung in upcoming future.
