This app allows the users to remain updated with live scores through lock screen of a smartphone without any mess. World cup Cricly is available for Android users on Google play Store for free and as soon as you download it, its interface displays a message saying: “Cricly- Can I be your LockScreen this World Cup? You won’t regret, I promise.” As you accept it by tapping ‘Allow’, a new screen lock wallpaper takes over the previous one and displays the name of place where current match is going on. Along with this, the interface gives information regarding the overall score including overs and run rate and also displays the names and scores of batsmen on the pitch. Additionally, a simple chart at the bottom illustrates overs, maidens, runs, wickets and economy rate of the bowlers. It is interesting to see that this app also shows the projected score that the batting team could achieve by the end of overs probably with respect to the run rate. Once the user is done looking at scores of the match, he can swipe to the right to enter into the usual interface of the smartphone. It also gives option to remove real time cricket scores from the screen lock easily by opening the app. Though, while reviewing the app, it remained buoyant that how its interface will update the users if two or more matches take place at the same time but hopefully the developer will confront such situation smartly as he has organized the app. I must say, this app is worth trying for the cricket lovers who do not find time to keep up with the scores owing to the busy routines and one of the heartening thing about this mobile app is that it is being made by a Pakistani developer Jawwad Jafri.
