Meet the new Asus ROG G501 gaming laptop

Asus has announced its new ROG series gaming laptop and will be rolling out in market this April. Asus ROG G501 features latest Intel core i7 processor, 15.6 inch display and Geforce GTX 960M graphics. For the first time ever Asus has designed a laptop featuring 4K full HD display resolution with 282 PPI pixels density. With all specs, it weighs only 5.45 lbs and only .81 inches thick when closed. asus_rog_g501 Unlike other gaming laptops this notebook is made of aluminum. Having a 4K display can be huge win for Asus against Razer’s new laptop which has only 14 inches of screen size and 3200×1800 resolution. It has backlit keyboard and ASDW key highlights which is a premium feature for a gamer. Asus ROG G501 has 512GB SSD with transfer speed upto 1400 megabytes/sec and also have thunderbolt connectivity. Asus ROG G501 has a hyper cool technology which works on two fans and a copper heat-pipes drawing the heat away from the laptop. Both CPU and GPU use different and separate mechanism to cool down the laptop. This notebook is slim and smart but yet a powerful notebook not only for gaming but for production and editing as well. The price of ROG G501 starts from $1999 but the exact release date is not confirmed yet but rumors are it will be available in markets at the start of this April only in US first.
