Mobile and Urdu Version of PTA website inactive since years

Mobile and Urdu Version of PTA website inactive since years
Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) who is the regulatory body for the telecom sector in Pakistan, had launched the Urdu version for its website in order to facilitate the general public and telecom users with the help of national language interface. But unfortunately, it seems like the authority went quite busy in performing its duties and thus skipped the Urdu version of its website from the list of priorities. The Urdu version had been launched back in March 2010 with a lot of buzzes but just within two months of its introduction, since May 2010, the website has not been updated in the Urdu language Not only this, the mobile version for PTA website is also unresponsive and showing no information at all which is something disheartening as the authority keeps vowing to promote mobile internet penetration specially after securing a huge chunk of money with the Auction of 3G and 4G spectrum in Pakistan. When contacted PTA, an official replied, “Thank you for bringing this to our notice, we will look into it”. It is important to note that PTA in the past years, took several steps and conducted contests for promoting local content on the web in order to boost the mobile internet services along with the promotion of Information Communication Technology sector of Pakistan but non-updated Urdu and Mobile versions of its website is the indications of the fact that in doing this all, the authority forgot to put a look at its own website.
