YouTube introducing monthly subscription fee for ad-free videos

The Google-owned video domain YouTube is said to introduce an ad-free video service for its users in the near future. The company has sent a letter to its partners recently stating that,”By creating a new paid offering, we,ll generate a new source of revenue that will supplement your fast growing advertising service,” as reported by Bloomberg. youtube The email further explains that “We,re excited to build on this momentum by taking another big step in favor of choice: offering fans an ad-free version of YouTube for a monthly fee. By creating a new paid offering, we,ll generate a new source of revenue that will supplement your fast-growing advertising revenue.” It is worth mentioning that YouTube has not announced further details and amount of subscription fee to enjoy seamless videos on its portal. However, some rumors claim that this ad-free subscription will cost nearly $10 (approx. Rs.1018) a month. Moreover, it has been revealed that YouTube plans to keep 45% of the revenues from ad-free subscription for itself, while distributing the other 55% among channel owners. Apart from this, YouTube has also launched its parent-friendly application for kids YouTube Kids recently while it is also working on an additional feature which will support 360-degree videos, making them more interesting and engaging for the viewers.
