FIA catches electricity theft of a Telecom operator

According to a recent news, the Crime Circle of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has caught an electricity theft and sadly, the thief was not a local factory or an illiterate person, instead it was by the one out of 5 telecom operators.electricity theft The team of FIA has also caught a lineman red-handed who was involved in the direct supply of electricity to a BTS tower of a telecom operator. The raid on BTS tower carried out yesterday which is located at Band Road Lahore. Moreover, the agency has filed an FIR against the administration of accused mobile phone company and the WAPDA officials while the investigation has been started regarding the issue. Apart from this, FIA has proved to be vigilant in the fight against rising grey traffic and has made record raids on more than 100 illegal Gateway Exchanges during past few months. The presence of these illegal gateway exchanges is a serious threat to the national exchequer of Pakistan as the revenue generated by such illegal setup fills the pockets of criminals only and doesn’t add a penny to the national kitty. Recently, the team of FIA has also caught 4 foreigners who were defrauding Pakistani people on the Facebook by using fake profiles.
